Every student is unique, and is motivated to play an instrument for different reasons.

It is important for the teacher to build a relationship with the student, and form an approach which will result in the most enjoyment and progression.

This will be different in each case, and I believe that the teacher's role is to use their experience and knowledge to guide the student on the most suitable and rewarding path.

Lessons are tailored to each student, and will include some or all of the following:

  • Grade exams (rock/pop/classical)
  • Music theory
  • Pop songs
  • Reading music (TAB, notation)
  • Singing along with guitar/piano
  • Ear training (working out music by listening)
